Back to Life?

What a wonderful vacation we had with my mom and Larry. I guess just being on vacation is wonderful. We took them up to Duluth for 3 days. We toured Duluth and all that it has. There’s something wonderful up there. The more we go. The more God is shown in the creation of this world.

This is a picture of the Gooseberry Falls. This is Minnesota.

If you would follow this little river you would have one big mistake. It drops about 50 feet. You can go from one part of Minnesota to the next and see 2 different places. Just to think that God has such an imagination that nothing is the same from state to state. Or even inside the state. Isn’t God awesome. To think some people think that the things we see were made up of a big bang. How blind they must be.

Taken from on top of a 100 foot hill we drove up. It was kind of foggy this day.

Most people think that Minnesota is nothing ,but farms and fields. To think that we have sites like this. To think that over every hill and ridge there’s something new and different. That every rock that was by Lake Superior to skip was different in size, color and shape. Nothing was the same. You can go outside your house right now. Pick up 2 rocks and they’ll be different. You can go pick up 2 flowers that look the same. Just to find out that they are not. God is real and He’s alive. We weren’t formed by some creature that came out of water. We were formed by a God that loves us so much. That He makes us all different. Unique in His own eyes. God loves us so much. That  He let us die on the cross with His only Son. So we could live forever in Heaven and not hell. God knows all and is all. He’s  the God of healing power, God of finances, peace and comfort. If you have a question. He knows the answer. He knows everything about you. I mean everything. So why go to people to try to figure out what’s wrong with you. Why don’t you ask the One who made you. He already knows what the Doctors don’t know. If He put the work men ship in all the things around you. Doesn’t He love you more. Even the birds of the air don’t have to worry about food. So why do you? Doesn’t God love you more than a bird? He’s given us answers to all things. All He said we had to do is ask!! That’s right ask. How many of us say that we are just to busy? How many of us think we are to busy, because we really don’t want to hear the truth’s that God wants to tell us! The truth’s that we aren’t living our lives like we should. That we don’t spend enough time with God as we should. We have to stop kidding ourselves and start getting real with God. He’s all we have. He is everything.

We finally have a warm day here in Minnesota. We are out of the 60’s and are in the 70’s. Can’t wait for the 80’s to return. Well my mom from Florida will be here this week. So hopefully she won’t freeze to much.

Have you ever done something. Knowing that it wasn’t right to do, but did it any ways because no one was around to see you. Some examples might be. Taking a few extra minutes for lunch, or watching something that you shouldn’t have. We’ve all done it. Some feel guilty and repent other might just blow it off. The thing is. God is real and present all the time. He is watching  you while you are awake and sleeping. He sees everything you do. He’s not in space somewhere. He’s right there by you. Telling you to do this or that. I think it’s sad to watch Christians live a life that shows God as somewhere in the Universe, and not right here.  Seeing Christians going to bars and cursing like a sailor makes me sick. What are they showing all the sinners?  They’re showing sinners a lie. For me. I don’t think you can be saved and still do those things. Why? Well when you get saved. You become a new person. A person that searches the heart of Jesus. We become more like Him and not like the world. If you truly repent of all your sins. Then you won’t want to do them again. I would be like me saying that I’m a chef. I go out and by a chef outfit and I take chef classes. I sit in the classes for 8 weeks, but instead of paying attention. I write on Facebook. So the outward appearance shows that I’m a chef, but the inward shows that I know nothing about cooking. For most Christians that’s how they live there life. They supposedly get saved, but they never change there inside. They might go to church and listen, but as soon as there done they go right back to the worldly life style.  I’m tired of second guessing if someone goes to church or not. We should stand out like sore thumbs. When we walk into a room the light of Christ should stand out over everything else.

The reason that we don’t see those great revivals or miracles as much anymore. Is because we are getting lazy in our beliefs and in out faith. We are becoming more like this world. Then getting out of this world. We don’t rely on God anymore to take care of our needs. We help ourselves. When is the last time you prayed for a headache before reaching for the aspirin. When did you rebuke a back ache, before excepting it. We need to get back to the Word of God. We need to make that number 1 in our lives. We need to spend more time with God. Then watching TV or playing video games.

When is the last time that you spent praying to God. Other than praying for your food.  Talking about praying for food. When did it become embarrassing to pray for your food in restaurants. I guess it comes down to one thing. Stop making excuses. I see more and more people make excuses why they do things. I smoke to reach my brothers that smoke. OK? I go to bars or drink at meals so our friends don’t feel so uncomfortable. OK?  How in the world can you witness to someone that does these things? You can’t. Because you’re showing them already that there’s no difference from being a sinner and a Christian.

We all want Jesus to return, but how many of us are actually ready for Him to return. Do you think at the seat of judgement that He’ll say job well done? What would you do if He tapped you on the shoulder while you were doing something wrong? What kind of an excuse would you give Him? Don’t kid yourself. God is here right now looking at you and telling you what are you doing. He’s asking you why do you keep sinning against me? I sent my only Son to die on the cross and this is how you treat me. We need to have more respect for God and for ourselves. Who cares what people think!! I ain’t living a life to please man, but God alone. Life is short here on earth, and heaven is for eternity. I think it’s time we as Christians realize that we have a job to do, and that we need to get in line with God’s word to do it.

To be or Not to be?

To be or not to be? That is the question. All Christians have to make that decision in there lives. Do they want to be on fire for God or not? Do they want to follow God or not? It states in the Bible that God would rather have a Christian cold or hot for him. He dislikes the warm people. I can understand why to. Who really likes a person that comes and goes all the time. One day there your friend the next they’re not. Gets kind of aggravating. The sad thing is that most Christians think they are hot for God when they are warm or even cold. Which is sad to see. It all starts with the preacher or church they go to. How’s the pastor preaching? Is he being safe with his sermons or is he letting you have it. You know those sermons that just rip your gut open. You leave church knowing you need to change. Or the being safe sermon when you leave the church telling the pastor he did a great job, and never remembering what was spoken by the time you get home.

 Ok on the side note. Where do these preachers get off by asking money for heeling’s. If you send in 100.00 God is going to heal you. Or if you send in 100.00 you’ll have a financial break through. I just want to give those preachers a BIG SWIRLY. They don’t deserve to be on TV, because all they are teaching are lies. After reading through the bible more than once. I’ve never seen were God says you have to pay for anything. Ok I better get off that subject the blood is boiling. I guess they’ll get there reward now and not in heaven.

 Ok back to the subject at hand. As Christians we need to get off our butts and start doing what God has called us to do. We need to stop waiting for someone else to do it. Let’s look at reality. One day we are all going to stand before God. What do you want Him to say? Great job my well and faithful servant, or are you joking me. You didn’t  do a thing. Jesus told us all. To spread the good news throughout the world. The world starts just were you are at. You can’t tell me you don’t know someone that isn’t saved. We all know people that aren’t saved. So what’s holding you back from telling them about Christ? Are you scared? Worried about offending them? What? You are letting the devil convince you to be a cold Christian. There’s people everyday that sacrifice there lives for the gospel and we are to worried about what someone might think. We would rather have them spend eternity in hell. I guess why not. We aren’t going there. Isn’t that the attitude that we have though. It’s no big deal. I’m safe. I have no worries. What would have happened if Billy Graham would have thought that? How many millions of people would be going to hell. People are all talking about Revival, but are unwilling to do anything for one. It’s time that we go by God’s word. Get back to the basics. Jesus made things simple enough for everyone to understand, but stilled moved thousands. Jesus didn’t care if he offended someone. He didn’t care what they thought. He had one purpose. To do His Father’s business. So where are you at? Are you doing your own thing or God’s? Whens the last time you spoke to someone who wasn’t saved about God? Do you not bring God up to people you know because you are afraid what they might think?

 Another side thought. How come a movie like Twilight is talked about more through Christians than a movie like Fireproof? When in the world was it ok to start liking movies that have vampires. Come now. Has the devil really blinded Christians that much. That all they can talk about is worthless garbage. I know some of you say that there’s a christian theme in it. Well I can make a christian theme in Harry Potter to if I wanted to. Let’s get real. If you have to search for reasons for you to justify that the movie is ok. It’s probably not. Would you let your Young kids watch the movie? If papa and mama can’t watch a movie in front of there kids. Then we shouldn’t be watching it. If  the movie doesn’t edify yourself and God you shouldn’t be watching it. That’s why Christians don’t know who they are in Christ, because they don’t know what’s right and wrong. They don’t see living with someone before marriage as being bad anymore either. Even though 60-80 percent of those marriages end up in divorce. It’s time for us to wake up and get serious about who we are in Christ. Stop living a life that isn’t yours anymore. Stop convincing yourself  the things that you watch or do is ok if it isn’t lined up with the word. We need to stop letting the devil be in control and start letting God take control. When we let God take control that’s when the revivals will happen and that’s when signs and wonders will come forth.
