As we know there are many people out there that call themselves Christians. Are they all really Christians? We have Catholics, Lutherans, Jehovah Witnesses, and Non-Denominational etc… that claim they are Christians. Are they all Christians or just some of them? Well if they believe totally what the Bible says. Yes they are. I did say totally. Even though church’s preach from the Bible. Not all follow the Bible. Let’s get back to the Christian part before moving on.
The word Christian today has 2 definitions. One is believing in the Son of God, excepting Him as your Lord and Savior. The other is on goals, being good, and other religious beliefs. It’s kind of like the word pot. Some might think of a pot for planting flowers in. Others might think of pot that you smoke. Same word different meanings. Same with the word Christian. It has different meanings in today’s society. The Bible speaks of one Christianity. While the world has made it’s own.
So how do we know if we are actually Christians or not? Well that’s fairly easy. The Word of God tells us. If you believe that good works or just being good is a Christian. You are mistaken. Jesus even said in the Bible that ” no one is good except the Father(God)”. So the chance that you are good enough to rate that same as God is pretty slim. We have made the word good such a common word that it has lost the actual meaning in the Bible.
Others believe that if you follow the 10 commandments that you’re a Christian. Which can be true and not true. If you totally rely on the 10 commandments then no you are not a Christian by Bible standards. How many of us actually have followed all the 10 commandments? Some say that God is a forgiving God. Which He is. He does state though that all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. So if you believe all you have to do is follow the commandments. Then my fish is one glorious Christian. You might be wondering what I’m talking about? Well, my fish has never lied, stolen, disobeyed, etc… So he’s never sinned. So he must be a Christian by your standards. That’s why we can’t just go off the 10 commandments alone.
The word of God states it really simple. It says “For God so loved the world, that He sent is One and only Son, that who ever believes in Him, will not parish, but have everlasting life. That my friend is a real Christian. When a person gets saved they become a new person. There old self has passed away and there new body is present. In the Bible it talks about wine skins. Back then you didn’t put new wine into old wineskins. If you did the wineskin would break and you would lose your wine. So everytime you made wine you would put it into a new wineskin. Same with getting saved. You have a new body. Don’t want that old stuff in it.
Most people claim to be a Christian because they go to Church or have at one time went to Church. The truth is a Christian has to be born again to become a Christian. When you get saved you get rid of your old skin, or your old body. The old body that holds all your sins, all of your sicknesses, and all your bad habits. You would not be able to hold the new birth of Christ with your old body. It would break, and crumble. So we get a new body. That is totally clean. It doesn’t have any sicknesses, bad habits, or sins in it. You are a new person. A person that is a servant of Christ. That’s why the old Testament is a for shadow of what was to come. That’s why the new Testament shows us how to change and have Eternal life. Jesus let’s us know how to live, and how to get into Heaven. I think that’s what sad. Jesus himself tells us how to get into Heaven, but Church’s choose there own ways, and there own doctrines. Don’t be fooled. Let the word of God show you the right way. The road to hell is wide, but the road to Heaven is narrow. So many people think they are going to Heaven. In all reality they are going to Hell. Just because you call yourself a Christian doesn’t mean you are as you can see. If are a saved good for you. If you’re not. Get on your hand and knees and ask God to forgive you of your sins. Ask Jesus to come into your Heart, and to be your Lord. Then find a church that believes that you must be saved. That way you will be fed in the word of God.
Isn’t God sooooo Great!! His greatness doesn’t even have words for it. Doesn’t matter how a person would try to explain it they would run out of words. He’s more great than what our minds can handle or think. Great things have been happening around here. So sorry for such a long time in between writings. Well it looks like God keeps moving, moving us into a certain direction. Another word was given to me that puts it all together. I’m a person that likes to have confirmations with things. Sometimes I speak to soon. Others I wait to just make sure. Well it’s to that state now that God is kicking me in the butt to get going. So I’m going. We are getting things in motion around here to start our own church. I won’t say the location right now, but it looks like it will still be here in Minnesota. This has been a battle of wanting to hurry up and a battle of fear of the unknown. All I know when it’s God’s timing a person can’t go wrong. There’s so much that God is doing in this family right now that I can’t even try to explain it. All I know. It’s not going to be like any other church. Leave’n all the religious things on the curb. That’s been strong on my heart. Nothing but the word, with signs and wonders following. So as we endeavour into a new chapter of our lives. Please pray for us. We are praying that we are going to have financial breakthrough’s, favor with all, and a church that WILL change the town. Certain things that God has put on my heart. There’s no way that this church won’t be felt in the town and surrounding communities. Glory to God!! So great things are on the way. We are shooting for a spring time/early summer start up. Or sooner if God wants. Many things to do. Find a building and everything that goes with in it. Minnesota will never be the same again!!!! Sorry that the words are so small. I can’t get them any bigger?
Isn’t the beauty of God awesome. As you can see here. We have a fly and 2 spiders. Not only that. Look at the details in the fly and flower. You don’t hear the flower or the fly complain about how they look. Do you? Nope they’re enjoying what the hand of God made. You don’t hear them complaining if they’re going to get enough water or food do you? Nope, they don’t need to. They know that God will take care of them. So if flies and flowers aren’t complaining about the way they look or if they have enough. Why are we? Doesn’t God love us more than a flower? Or even a fly? Of course He does. He loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son to die for us. What a sacrifice that was! It would be like you mowing someone Else’s lawn. Now this lawn is huge. It take you all day to do it. You make sure that the lines are the straightest and the length is at exactly 1 1/2 inches long. Then you let them know all your sacrifices that you endured to make it so perfect. Then that person looks at it and says you did it all wrong. The lines are supposed to go this way, and I wanted it at 2 inches. Then they say you just waisted your time and my time. Wouldn’t you feel horrible and mad. You might even want to run him over with the lawn mower. Isn’t that what we do to God all the time. He sent His Son as the biggest sacrifice. For us to be able to live a better life. For us to have victory, and blessing in our lives. Then we act like nothings good enough. We act like it was nothing by our attitudes and our actions. We complain about everything, and we take everything for granted. Until we need something. Then we pray to God about it. The truth is that God loves us more than the all the flowers, and animals. He wants us to have everything we need. The problem is us. We are the cause that we are where we are at right now. It was our actions, not Gods. It was our attitude not Gods. We are to blame for the problems. We didn’t listen when we needed to. We didn’t pray when times were good. We have taken for granted the greatest thing that ever happened to us. You know what. God still loves us the same. He just waits patiently for us to get our head on right. Then He helps us out. Just think where you might be right now if you always listened to God. I doubt that you would be facing what you are right now. There was an individual a few years back that had a huge chunk of change in the stock market. One day God told him to sell all his shares. We are talking millions of dollars. This individual stated that he battled with it for days. Before deciding that he missed heard God. So he kept his stocks. See these stocks were going up in the stock market. If he had pulled them out when God said, he thought he was going to lose millions in profit. He let money get in his way. Well needless to say a week later. His stocks crashed. He lost millions and millions. Because of his own greed he lost everything. Is that how you live your life sometimes? You don’t do what God tells you to do, because either it doesn’t look good enough or your just to greedy. It states in the Bible that a Christian or a person that is saved. Needs to become more like Christ. So if we are supposed to become like Christ. That means our actions, thoughts, words, and life. Should be more like His. When in the Bible do you see Jesus doing something that God told Him not to? When do you see Jesus complain about everything? You don’t. All you hear from Him is love, and Him saying let Your will be done. So let’s get off our own wagon and jump into God’s wagon. Let’s take challenges and risks that God is telling us to take. Let us watch what God has in store for us.
